Welcome to our domain. Thanks for checking the site out. We are really one of the few true blackmetal/thrashmetal bands in the area of Lockport. We believe while giving new age music a try is great, nothing matches the shear power of metal. AoS puts together elements from bands like Venom, Dimmu Borgir, Celtic Frost, Emperor, and of course slayer, but at the same time puts out alot of originality. AoS believes that in the genre of metal/blackmetal/thrashmetal, now days there is more of the kind of deathmetal band that developed during the 90's. AoS wants to bring back the 80's elements of a metal band. For vocals, AoS has slanted more towards a Tom Araya type of singing (concidering most metal bands have a growling (gutteral) type vocals, there simply is not a reason for AoS to do what they do). The guitars for AoS are really what pull it together, while always playing the evilest of riffs, they even add an element of epicness here and there. All in all, AoS is out to make their music as powerful and dark as they can, while playing extreamly fast. The songs range from epic warrior battles set in medieval times, to futuristic wars of technology turning on man kind. AoS believes that a part of their originality is in their lyrics, and that they love to get creative when wrighting. We are hopeing to eventually expand the popularity of the band to headbangers everywhere. I (Dan Covey) would like to thank the guys from SLAYER for inspiration, and for making their awesome music. This is the bands second site, and if you did not happen to notice that there is a link to another site with music on it then here the hell it is: www.geocities.com/thealterofsacrifice/home ( AoS has not yet recorded with its new members, so don't think to much about the music (not like u probably will, lol.) cause we don't sound much like it anymore. Were basically darker sounding and we play much faster. That seems to be the durection AoS is going in.) most of the old AoS songs have been scrapped so they could focus on more complex stuff. AoS is going to basically work very hard in the upcoming summer to get some songs finished to record.
